The Kitchen
We started “renovating” the kitchen way back in April after we need to replace the old boiler. It was not in an ideal location so we moved it to another part of the kitchen. This new location meant that we could no longer use the hob as it was directly above. “No biggie” we thought as we could move it elsewhere because we could never use all burners on the thing anyway.
This was the start of the endless kitchen makeover……
The Boiler
The start of the project. Replacing the old boiler for a brand spanking new one. The old boiler was over 15 years old, it rattled and was constantly leaking water, so it was off to the bank to borrow some cash to get all those jobs around the house that needed fixing sorted once and for all.
We decided to move the boiler in order to give us some more workspace when we got around to revamping the kitchen. So it was a mad rally to see if we knew any plumbers in the family, low and behod, Nick got us in touch with his old school mate richard who was (originally) going to do it for us between leaving his old job and starting his new one. However, due to cash flow problems our end, we were too late to get him in but he did recommend a friend who managed to get the new bolier installed in one day. This was nice and fast but they didn’t half make a mess.
